So we are back from our vacation and I can share a bit about what we did. I didn't have a computer so I couldn't post any while I was away. Me, my daughter and her boy friend got to spend 5 days in San Francisco. We arrived late on Wednesday August 15th so Thursday was our first full day in the city. We slept in and started exploring the city around 11am, we were in search of a sushi place but found that walking through San Francisco is a bit different then in St Louis. The further we went the steeper the hill became and after 8 blocks we were so done with that hill and we were still only a third of the way to the resturant, and the hill just looked steeper. So we turned and started heading in a different direction.
Here are just a few photos of day one.Lovely architectural details.
Waiting to cross the street, a little closer to the pyramid.
A better view of the pyramid down another street
Not sure if Pier 29 1/2 has anything to do with Harry Potter but the lightning bolt just gives me that feeling.
Each Pier building seemed like it was a block long, it may not have been but after walking so much it sure felt like it.
Lunch was a delicious Bento box with Chicken Teriyaki, Rice, Tempura, California Roll, Miso soup, and Salad.
Then it was back to the hotel for a rest before the evening adventure.
I'll leave you here for now and will fill you in on the rest of the vacation later.
